Zedan Racing made quite the appearance at the Fasig-Tipton Gulfstream sale, purchasing the second highest-priced hip of the select group of 2-year-olds.
A Gun Runner colt out of the Flatter mare Needmore Flattery, agent Gary Young went to $1.7 million to secure hip 181, the standout who breezed 10.1 during the breeze show on Monday.
Reported by a BloodHorse interview with agent Gary Young: “We liked this horse a lot. He’s very reminiscent of Gun Runner; I think he looks like Gun Runner, and I loved his breeze; I just loved his breeze. See me in six months; I’ll tell you if we did good or not.”
The new Zedan Racing acquisition will join the stable of trainer Bob Baffert in southern California.
